Prayer: The Whole Armour of God
I hope Native Americans, and other
indigenous peoples who have suffered from the bad effects of
several supposedly 'Christian' churches forcing their dogma on
the world, will not be offended by this extract from the Bible.
The Bible has been composed from all manner of sources, and
often changed; therefore, like many things in life it is full of
bad and good, the useful and not so useful. Real Christians
follow the good spirit that comes through many sources and from
many people. Many people believe the person known as Jesus was a
good person, and inspired from the same God and Great Spirit
which we all share. The words below have come into my mind many
times over the past few years. There are indeed 'powers and
principalities' trying to turn life on Earth into a nightmare,
and we many who stand for what is right need this prayer. Put on
the whole Armour of God and speak boldly what needs to be said.

Put On The Whole Armour of God
Finally, my Brethren, be
strong in the Lord, and in the Power of his Might. Put on
the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
Principalities, against Powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to Stand.

Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with Truth, and having on the Breastplate
of Righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation
of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the Shield of
Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked.
And take the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the
Spirit, which is the Word of God: praying always with all
prayer in the Spirit ... that utterance may be given unto
me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the
Mystery of the Gospel, for which I am an Ambassador ...
that therein I may speak Boldly, as I ought to speak. |
