THIS IS REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WEIRD
People complain how the world is but they
won't do anything to change it. And yet they are desperately
upset about the world; and in fact for quite a few years it
seems the majority of people are quietly living in a state of
mind of: 'There is no hope'. And they do nothing!
I can tell you how to change the world with one simple
mechanism:
WRITE TO PEOPLE AND ENCOURAGE THEM
When you see websites pushing a line you like -- a positive line
which is saying the sort of things you feel in your heart --
write to the people organising the website and TELL THEM YOU
LIKE WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
When you receive emails which are saying something good, WRITE
TO THE SENDER, SAY YOU AGREE, ENCOURAGE THEM, TELL THEM YOU ARE
CIRCULATING THEIR WORK.
Now ---- is that hard --- or what?
DO IT!
People who are encouraged do TEN TIMES the amount
of output they would do if they are not encouraged. |
You see the question is: How many people have stopped their good
efforts because the amount of Spam and Harassing emails (loaded
with scripts to mess up your PC) greatly overwhelmed the one
good email they received every six months? It's not so much that
people don't have staying power, as the feeling that what they
are doing is having ZERO EFFECT.
ENCOURAGEMENT is SO simple, and it CAN change the World.
Do it.
