Many More Christmas UFO Sightings Over
the UK - 2
More sighting reports will appear here
over the Christmas period.
Location of Sighting: Buxton,
Derbyshire, England
Date of Sighting: 11th December, 2009 ~ Time: 1:00 - 2:15
AM
Witness Name: Tony Somers
Just before 1:00 AM myself, my wife and
two friends witnessed a craft holding it’s position high in
the sky. It is still there as I type at 2:15 AM (first seen
1hr 15 minutes ago). The craft is bright white with red and
blue lights flashing on it, it has held its position and at
times moved from left to right, there is no sound at all from
the unidentified craft, due to it holding its position for so
long it is not a plane or any other man-made vehicle I can think
of, it's also too close to be a space station or satellite.
Looking at it through a scope it also appears to change shape
although it may simply be changing position/angle and appears
that way.

Comment on 'Buxton, Derbyshire - 11th December 2009'
Kev --- 14th December, 2009 at 11:35 pm
Hi Tony, this description is very similar
to what myself and my partner saw on Sunday night (13th Dec 09).
The object we observed was moving very rapidly in a
pre-determined manner. It also moved left to right on several
occasions and suddenly ascended, what I estimated to be
about 2000 feet in half a second. Straight up! It stood
perfectly still for a few minutes, then just went out as if
someone switched off a light bulb. Brilliant white and was
changing colour on its peripherals, blue and red. Or possibly
rotating horizontally? Please see my post
Friston,
Suffolk for more detail. Something's brewing..

Location of Sighting: Minster,
Sheerness, England
Date of Sighting: 15th December, 2009 ~ Time: Approx 1800
Witness Name: Dazz
At about 1800 this evening, I went outside
to move my car. I noticed THREE orange lights in the sky.
As we live on the coast, I thought it may have been flares set
off at sea. Then the lights multiplied into about NINE lights
and they appeared to form one perfect triangle, and then
change altitudes. There was no apparent noise at the time. Then
they slowly disappeared. Very strange indeed.

Location of Sighting: Corsham,
Wiltshire, England
Date of Sighting: 17th December, 2009 ~ Time: 20.30
Witness Name: Kerry, Aaron, Steve and Maria
First, loud noise, such as a jet, but
faster. Then a louder, deeper noise, such as very low heavy
aircraft. Then flying object appeared from behind the flat, with
FOUR RED LIGHTS. As it flew over into the distance, it
stopped, rotated 180 degrees, to face where it had just
flown from. Then, whilst hovering with no engine sound, two huge
spot / search lights appeared and started searching into the
sky, then down to the earth. After a while of searching, it
flew off in the direction it had come.

Location of Sighting: Dewsbury, West
Yorkshire, England
Date of Sighting: 18th December, 2009 ~ Time: 01:00 AM
Witness Name: Zain
I was just about to go to sleep, when I
heard a jet plane very close .... and FIVE lights - in a
kind of clockwise rotation - were flashing outside my window.
After a moment of realising what just happened, I looked
outside.... but found nothing.

Location of Sighting: Skelmersdale, Lancashire, England
Date of Sighting: 18th December, 2009 ~ Time: approx
18:30
Witness Name: Sharon & James Finlay
Me and my husband saw a strange set of
TWO large white lights ... going past the flats at the side
of my house. They came out the other side, and hovered for ages
- with no sound, except for an intermittent beep every few
seconds. It was spinning for a bit, then would move a
bit further away. It kept on doing this, until it finally
disappeared completely. No engine noise. Completely silent -
apart from the beeps that seemed to coincide with the lights
flashing. I have seen lots of aeroplanes and helicopters in
my time here, and have never encountered anything like this
before. There is probably a logical explanation for it ...
could have been one of those blimp things, I suppose? Baffled by
what we saw. It could be nice to know there is life on another
Planet, and it is not just us in the universe.

Location of Sighting: Little Lever, Bolton, Lancashire,
England
Date of Sighting: 18th December, 2009 ~ Time: 9.25pm
Witness Name: Julie
Tonight.... amazed by 10 glowing orange
light balls. In formation, close to one another. No noise.
Definitely not floating... but seemed to have a driving force
of some kind... in a steady, driven formation... changing course
to stay in group formation. Really bright powerful
orange glow. Never seen anything like it in my life.
I have read about lanterns, and common sense tells you movement
of something that floats - and these were definitely driven.
Maybe there's a rational explanation; does anyone else have any
info? Thanks, Julie.

Location of Sighting: Tollbar, St Helens, Merseyside, England
Date of Sighting: 14th & 16th December, 2009 ~ Time:
approx 9:30 pm
Witness Name: Susan
We were sitting in the house - with
television on - when we heard a huge bang, which sounded
like an explosion!!! When we went to the door, a few of
the neighbours were already out to see what the bang was - as
well!!! I then phoned my parents to see if they had heard
anything, which they had. And since, I have found out that a lot
of other people have heard it ... within a 2 mile radius?
Along with the bang, there was a bright orange light. If
anyone knows what this could have been, please let me know ….
thanks.

Location of Sighting: Derby,
Derbyshire, England
Date of Sighting: 19th December, 2009 ~ Time: 19.56
Witness Name: Ken
I was in the garden with my wife, when we
noticed a bright orange light ... zooming across the sky
... really high up. There was no noise, just a fast moving light
- which lasted about 45 seconds. Then totally disappeared. We
were amazed. We then looked back at the point where it
started to see how far and quickly it travelled, when we saw TWO
MORE, BRIGHT ORANGE LIGHTS. They were all very high up,
travelling at speed. The second one disappeared quite quickly
within about 15 seconds, and the third about 30 seconds. Then
totally disappeared. Not sure what we saw, but definitely NOT a
plane or a helicopter. Did anyone else see this?

Location of Sighting: Morecambe, Lancashire, England
Date of Sighting: 16th December, 2009 ~ Time: 0030
Witness Name: Linda Freedman
I had just parked my car, and as I looked
out of the windscreen, I saw an ORANGE LIGHT, moving
slowly, and in a straight line towards me. My first thought was
that it was a helicopter as we see them regularly. I got out of
the car and realised that I couldn't hear any engine noise.
It slowed down and seemed to be hovering. It started to
climb very steeply. I continued to watch until it disappeared.
It went too high and too steeply for it to have been a
conventional aircraft. It was a cold night and the sky was
mostly clear, giving me a good view of this object.

Location of Sighting: Rudheath, Cheshire, England
Date of Sighting: 16th December, 2009 ~ Time: 6:15
Witness Name: Carol Burrows
I was driving through Rudheath, Cheshire
on Wednesday 16th December, at approx 6.15, and was in traffic.
I saw what I can only describe as a huge fireball. At
first I thought it was an aeroplane on fire. It was hovering
in the sky to my right very low, about the height of 2 or 3
houses then it moved right in front of me. It hovered there for
perhaps 30 seconds, then shot off southbound, travelling higher
and higher - until it went totally out of sight. The picture was
taken when it was straight ahead of me, and at the time I didn’t
notice the white light above this orb. The smaller lights to the
left of the photo are street lights. This is the weirdest
thing I have ever seen. Carol Burrows

Location of Sighting: Tiptree, Essex,
England
Date of Sighting: 13th December 2009 ~ Time: 12.30am
Witness Name: A. Knopp
I was driving from the direction of
Kelvedon, with my wife. As we arrived in Tiptree, we saw five
or six ORANGE lights in a line, travelling from the
direction of Colchester towards Maldon. I don’t think they could
be Chinese lanterns as there was very little wind that night and
they looked to be moving much faster than if they had been
propelled by the wind. Also at one point one accelerated away
from the others. After we arrived home, about ten minutes
later, I looked out of the window and saw another IDENTICAL
LIGHT moving in the same direction. I went into the next room to
pick up my binoculars, which I reckon took no more than two
minutes, but by the time I got back it had travelled so far that
by then it was almost impossible to see. I don’t know what they
could be, I have seen Chinese lanterns before and these just did
NOT look like the same.

Craft makes a CROSS shape over the United
Kingdom ....
..... and then: 'V' FOR VICTORY ...
Location of Sighting: Stanmore, Middlesex, England
Date of Sighting: 20 December 2009 ~ Time: 16:30 and
17:33
Witness Name: Jack Gerrard
From my garden terrace... caught sight of
an ORANGE, GLOWING OBJECT, travelling NORTH to SOUTH. It made a
rapid WEST turn - which must have been less than a second; a
rapid EAST turn - again less than a second; and then another
turn back to its SOUTHERLY heading. It travelled at at extremely
high speed, and was visible for about three seconds. About an
hour later, I went out to my terrace again and almost
immediately saw same or similar five or six orange shape objects
- in a 'V' formation - heading from East to West. Within
less than a couple of seconds another three (of the same)
passed East to West again. Both of these sighting instances
lasted for only 3 or 4 seconds. I see lots of aircraft traffic
daily and can clearly distinguish the difference between the
green/red/white steady & flashing lights of commercial aircraft.
These orange lights were definitely not aircraft nor an object
driven by wind (there was none at ground-level). The sky was
clear.

Location of Sighting: Llanharan, South Wales
Date of Sighting: 20th December 2009 ~ Time: 20.00
Witness Name: Rebecca
I have just seen something weird. TWO
soundless ORANGE lights came gliding across the sky ... and
then turned off, away from the house. Just as they disappeared,
ANOTHER PAIR came … silently, and following the same
path. As they disappeared ... there was ANOTHER PAIR!!!!!
Would love to know if anyone else saw it.

Location of Sighting: Leigh Park, Hampshire, England
Date of Sighting: 19th December 2009 ~ Time: 21:30 hrs
Witness Name: Robert Saunders
I have witnessed these lights twice, this
time last year. I have been star-gazing for years whilst walking
the dog, and know my objects in the night sky. I have video
footage of an ORANGE GLOW - as described by hundreds of
genuine ordinary people like myself - from last year. This
year (19th December), I have seen THREE OBJECTS at once,
only slightly lit up, orange this time. Moving approx 150mph,
very smooth, in formation, below cloud level. I sincerely
believe our government is aware of these ... which are now
normal activities. I can't wait to see more!!

Location of Sighting: Near Ely, Cambridgeshire, England
Date of Sighting: 19th December 2009 ~ Time: 11.55 am
Witness Name: Margaret
I was talking to a friend on the phone
when I saw a bright light zoom across the sky at great speed.
It looked like a shooting star - but in broad daylight. The sky
was clear at the time. I’m sure it wasn’t a plane as it was
traveling so fast and just disappeared. It travelled from West
to East across the Fens in Cambridgeshire.

Location of Sighting: Fearnan, Perthshire, Scotland
Date of Sighting: 15th December 2009 ~ Time: 0718 am
Witness Name: Cod
On my way to work today, I was running
early, and thought I would just take it easy. It was a clear,
half star-lit sky. Just before Fearnan, I noticed a bright
light in the sky. At first I thought it was just a star, as
there were many the same. Then I noticed it moving. I
stopped the car, and watched it move over Fearnan ... towards
Aberfeldy direction. No sound, just moving slowly across the
sky. I tried to video it, but my phone could not pick it up. It
was reasonably low; and it's the first time I have seen one in
that place. Has anyone else seen ones around there?

Location of Sighting: Northenden,
Manchester, England
Date of Sighting: 21st December, 2009 ~ Time: approx
11.30 pm
Witness Name: Jemma
I live in Northenden, on the main road
near the Post House hotel. I was just looking out of my front
window by chance to see if it was snowing again! In the
direction of Manchester Airport. It was a very clear night ...
there were loads of stars ... and I could see lots of what were
obviously planes and lots of stars. But, I just suddenly saw
A BRIGHT ORANGE LIGHT ... coming from the direction of the
airport. It actually looked like a small plane on fire. As it
got quite near my house, I opened my window. It was practically
above my flat. I couldn't hear any noise. It definitely did not
look like a plane or helicopter. It was moving quite slowly.
There were no other lights on it at all. I could tell it was not
a plane. I've never seen anything like it. There were no
clouds - the sky was really clear, with loads of stars - and
whatever it was, I didn't take my eyes of it. It just suddenly
seemed to change direction ... going in the direction of
Manchester City Centre ... and it disappeared. I thought I was
seeing things ... or maybe it had gone behind a cloud, but there
were none. The sky was crystal clear last night. It was really
strange. I watched for about 10 minutes after, it never
reappeared. Really strange. I'd like to know if anyone else saw
it - so I don't think I'm going mad.
