Many More Christmas UFO Sightings Over
the UK - 3
More sighting reports will appear here
over the Christmas period.
Location of Sighting: Edgworth, Bolton,
Lancashire, England
Date of Sighting: 22 December 2009 ~ Time: 11.30 pm
Witness Name: John
I saw two ball-shaped, white lights
over Edgworth. The two lights appeared to be ‘playing’ with
each other, in a sort of of sideways dancing motion...
moving quite fast from side to side... before disappearing. We
watched them for about 20 minutes. Today other neighbours
reported weird lightning over the last couple of days, they
think this is actually lightning; but it can’t explain our
sighting.

Location of Sighting: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England
Date of Sighting: 31st December 2008 ~ Time: 21:00
Witness Name: John Simpson
I was visiting my relatives in Great
Yarmouth on New Years Eve 2008. I was walking to the local shops
in Northgate Street, when I came across a young couple looking
skywards who asked me whether I had a camera phone. Looking
skywards, I saw a very large, circular, bright orange light
moving silently across towards the direction of Gorleston;
at a height of a few hundred feet. It suddenly changed to a
bright green colour, and accelerated across the sky
extremely quickly, but was still completely silent. I know quite
a few people saw this at the same time and no way was it an
aircraft or helicopter.

Location of Sighting: Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England
Date of Sighting: 21st and 22nd December, 2009
Time: Approx 9pm, and approx 10:10pm
Witness Name: Darren
As an avid sky watcher, I have to
report this sighting as I think it will link up with others
around the UK. On Monday night, at approx 9pm, my partner Fran
was out in the garden having a cigarette. I went outside to talk
to her, and she was pointing out how clear the sky was. As I
looked to the north of Herongate Estate, I saw a very BRIGHT
SPHERE... shoot across the sky from west to east... which lasted
for about 8-10 seconds. With no vapour trail. It then just
disappeared.
Then last night, at approx 10:10pm, I went
outside into the garden to look at the sky again, it was very
clear. And again I saw the sphere... but this time directly
above the house, moving south to north. I have looked at all
angles on this, and it cannot be a satellite, or a meteor,
because on both occasions I would estimate the altitude to be
about 10,000ft. Although I say 'sphere-shaped', I would
also say it had a 'light bulb shape' to it, and that the
pointed end was at the front of it. I have seen many shooting
stars in my time, but this is no way one of them. It was too
bright, and moved slower than a typical shooting star. Did
anyone else see this?

Location of Sighting: East Kilbride, Scotland
Date of Sighting: 22 December 2009 ~ Time: 23.00 - 23.15
Witness Name: Allister Harland & Heather Flannigan
We are sitting at work totally dumfounded
... as we saw a red, fiery orb. It actually sent a few
bolts of red and green lights, to the side, and below. The
orb then stopped moving for a few seconds; then sped off to to
the side, and vanished. This was no lantern because of the speed
it moved and how it just hovered, and then sped off.

Location of Sighting: North Acton, London, England
Date of Sighting: 22nd December, 2009 ~ Time: 17:20
Witness Name: Tom Redmond
At 5.20pm, I observed a GLOWING ORANGE
SPHERE flying in the night sky, in a north easterly
direction... but arcing further east as it progressed. It was a
dark orange. It appeared as if it was burning, as there
were visible shimmering distortions around it, as if it were
a source of great heat. It was moving too slowly to be
anything else, and there were no indications of flashing
navigation lights that you would expect to see from a commercial
plane. It must have been flying pretty high, as I lost sight of
it as it disappeared behind the clouds. Even though I observed
it at different angles, throughout its journey it appeared
constantly as a disc or globe, and gave no indication of
reflecting light; more like it was a source. There was nothing
else visible in that part of the sky at the time and no sounds
from aircraft of any kind. I have no idea what this could be,
and I consider myself to be relatively intelligent and usually
quite sceptical of these things because London has very busy
skies.

Location of Sighting: Tipton, West Midlands, England
Date of Sighting: 17th December 2009 ~ Time: 3 am
Witness Name: Patricia
I heard a slow whirring noise, and
looked out of the window. We often have helicopters hovering,
and airplanes to and from Birmingham airport, but this was
something I had not seen before. It was bright red and
orange; with yellow circular lights at the back. It was
quite large; and was there for 10 minutes. I tried taking a
photograph but it is a bit blurred. My friend has seen the photo
and thought maybe it was a plane on fire... but it was so
strange as it was stationary, and then proceeded south...
moving very slowly.

Location of Sighting: Wickford, Essex, England
Date of Sighting: 22nd December 2009 ~ Time: 6:15
Witness Name: David
Hi ... Don't know what I saw, but thought
I'd let you know anyway. I saw an orange ball of light - very
bright - going over Wickford, Essex; heading north. It had a
what looked like a 180 degrees fan, of orange light, on the top
of it. At first I thought it might be a meteor or something, but
it changed direction... heading what looking like
north-east. It moved really fast, and faster than a helicopter,
and too low for a plane. It might be nothing, but just thought I
would say in case other people report it also. Whatever it was,
it was very strange, only kick myself now I did not think
to take a picture.

Comment on: Birstall, West Yorkshire,
England - 15th August 2009
Dave ~ December 22nd, 2009
Tonight, my wife, daughter and I have all
witnessed orange bright orbs over Birstall. It was at
2000hrs, and two appeared quite large over my neighbourhood.
They were travelling very fast, and disappeared over the
distance over St Peters junior school. Then 2 minutes later, two
more orbs appeared over Bronte Avenue, and disappeared in the
same direction. This was a spine tingling moment, and my
family have never witnessed anything like that before. Very
cool. ~ Dave
