'Orange Ball' Spacecraft
Location of Sighting: Springhead,
Oldham, Lancashire, England
Date of Sighting: 6th January, 2010 ~ Time: 8.20pm

I saw a bright orange ball very low in the
sky, and at first thought it was a plane on fire as there was
a dark slim-line shape behind the orange light. The orange
craft / ball / thing then moved at speed over the hills
toward Manchester. Amazed I alerted my mother, brother, friend
and sister. They all saw the ball in the distance, as it was
easily distinguishable from any aeroplane. I then described what
I had seen, and as I did so a very similar bright, fiery
orange object again flew over our heads, with no noise, and
followed the same flight path. The two were roughly five minutes
apart. After waiting half an hour or so and no more sightings,
we left and took the dog for a walk to Lees cemetery - where a
great view can be seen of the flight path of the orange ball /
craft we saw. After giving up hope, and just looking at the
stars as it was a very clear night, we then both saw another
orange ball / craft following the same flight path. The time
was 9.25pm. This time - from a different angle and from the side
- the bright, orange light almost looked triangular. We then
waited for 15 minutes, waiting for another, but it was extremely
cold so we left it at that. I have never seen anything like this
before.

Approximately 8.25 on Wednesday night. A
mate frantically knocked on my door. When I answered, he
told me to come outside as he had just seen a strange light
moving swiftly across the sky. By the time I put my footwear on
and joined him outside, I could see nothing. We stood around for
a few minutes, joking. Then to my amazement, an intense
bright orange - oval shaped - light appeared overhead, and
travelled in a smooth, but quick direction from west to south
... where it eventually disappeared from sight. I had time to
get a good look at the object, and it was eerie to say the
least. No chance it was plane or helicopter, it seemed too big,
or close, and also made no noise whatsoever. Chinese lantern?
No, I don’t think so. My mate said it followed the same pattern
as the one he previously saw a few minutes earlier. Very
strange! Ironically, a few nights before, I watched
War-of-the-Worlds on TV. So I am now contemplating boarding up
my windows, and hiding in the cellar until it all blows over.
